8th Course: Integrating Biochemical Insights to Overcome Clinical Challenges in Cancer Nanomedicine

GENERAL INFORMATION
Local transportation: A funicular railway (Funivia) connects Erice with the town of Trapani at the bottom of the hill. The Centre can also offer advice and assistance with local car rentals.
Working environment: Outside the planned excursion, reasonably long afternoon breaks will be scheduled to allow contacts and discussions in the inspiring environment of Erice: the meeting's success relies on the full attendance of every participant to all sessions.
Smoking: is forbidden inside all the facilities of EMCSC (San Rocco, San Domenico, San Francesco), including residential rooms. In Italy smoking is also forbidden in restaurants, unless equipped with special smoking rooms. Restaurants in Erice are all non-smoking.
Banking: there's no bank is in Erice, but a cash dispenser is just at a two-minutes' walk from EMCSC.
EMCSC Personnel: the EMCSC relies on its local staff members, who are ready to tackle all difficult problems that may arise (travel ticket & reservation changes, PC facilities, visa, medical care, police, etc.). The reference person for local issues during the meeting is Mr. Pino Aceto. For all technicalities concerning the course there is a School Secretariat office at San Rocco next to the Marsala Room.
Technical facilities: A limited number of computers and internet terminals is available to participants at San Rocco (16th Century Madonna room). Wireless internet connection is present in many areas of the Centre. The EMCSC is equipped with computer/power-point facilities as well as traditional projectors.
